HB&TS Breaks Ground on the Thomas C. Puckett Memorial Pump Station

On Monday, May 9th, HB&TS Utility District officially broke ground on its new pump station located on Old Hillsboro Road just west of Franklin. The new pump station will be able to serve up to 30,000 customers and bring the District well into the future capacity needs for the continued growth of Williamson County.

Earlier this year, HB&TS lost its general manager, Thomas C. Puckett, to a battle with cancer. Mr. Puckett’s impact and legacy from his tenure as general manager for the last 20 years will never be forgotten.

This pump station has been a vision of Mr. Puckett’s for the past several years. While he will be unable to see this vision become a reality, the District’s Board of Commissioners have decided to honor Mr. Puckett through naming the new pump station the Thomas C. Puckett Memorial Pump Station.

Mr. Puckett’s family assisted the District with the ground breaking and look forward to having the patriarch of the Puckett family’s name to live on through this pump station.

Construction will begin during the month of May and should be completed within 18 months. James C. Hailey, of James C. Hailey & Associates designed and engineered the project and W&O Construction will carry out the construction of the project.
